As this paper's Lahav Harkov is reporting, someone is angry:
US calls Ya'alon's comments about Kerry 'offensive'; Netanyahu does damage control
A State Department spokeswoman expressed outrage on Tuesday over a news report in which Israel’s defense minister was said to have dismissed Secretary of State John Kerry’s Middle East peace push as naïve and messianic.
“The remarks of the defense minister, if accurate, are offensive and inappropriate, especially given all that the United States is doing to support Israel’s security needs,” the spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, said in an email message...
Not only has the State Dept. issued a rebuke after Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon, according to Yedioth Ahronot
, reportedly called Kerry "messianic, delusional"
The US is unsatisfied with Ya'alon's apology after he allegedly called US Secretary of State John Kerry's peace efforts "messianic" and "obsessive," reported Channel 2 on Tuesday. According to the report, the US wants Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to publicly endorse Kerry's peace efforts to make amends for the incident.
"To summarize today's events: one can say 'Kerry is a Messiah' but it's prohibited to say 'Kerry is messianic'.

Biden: Two-state solution only chance for Mideast stability
If the United States insists that our peace with those who deny our historical identity, our national ethos, our religious cognizance, our cultural legacy and refute all the legal and diplomatic developments here since 1917 will be the linchpin for the entire region, that is just too much. What is true, however, is that if Israel will have no peace, no security, no economic strength then the region will not be stable for our immediate and further afield neighbors will seek our destruction - as they always and consistently have done - and that will be the cause for the destabilization, Israel's weakness.
America's Middle East record is one of near failure. Death is everywhere. Democracy is not assisted. If this is what Israel could possibly face as America's "contribution", then someone somewhere is truly delusional.
